Canton Elite Show Corps is a competition marching unit and twirling team
just beginning our eighth year and have already won numerous
awards! We march and compete in 20 parades a year throughout Ohio and have
performed in the 2003 AXA Liberty Bowl halftime show and Beale Street Parade
in Memphis, TN.
We have been selected for
the 2004, 2006 & 2007 Community Choice Award at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Community
Parade and have performed halftime for the Canton Legends indoor football.
We also have students that compete as soloists in many
of the baton organizations and have formed a competition twirling team.
Our corps colors are pink, silver and black and
consists of a junior color guard; Senior flag line, senior, junior, juvenile
feature twirlers; senior, junior, juvenile majorette unit and percussion
section. Our twirlers are from the Stark County area including, Canton City,
Canton Local, East Canton, Sandy Valley, Plain Local, Northwest Local,
Perry Local and Tuslaw Local school districts. We also have students from
Kent State University and Bowling Green State University. They range in age
from 3 through 20.

The corps is directed and
instructed by KARLA NEFF. All lessons are taught by Karla who is a TU
twirling coach though and licensed thru the State of Ohio, Board of
Education. She is also a choreographer. She has choreographed musicals for
various middle schools and high schools for their musicals. She is a past
NBTA competition twirler and a former majorette advisor for various high
schools in the past 10 years.
